COMPETITIVE WALK RULES: What makes the 5K Competitive Walk different from the 5K Recreational Walk? Participants in the Competitive Walk are competing for time and must comply with specific rules.  NO RUNNING OR JOGGING IS ALLOWED.  Race monitors will be on the course checking how the competitive walkers comply with the walking only rule. How will the course monitors know who is a Competitive Walker? Competitive walkers will have different colored race bibs to help the course monitors identify them. What happens if a Competitive Walker does run or jog? Running or jogging will result in the participants’ removal from prize contention.
